Berenice Smith, B A (Hons), MA
Berenice is an award-winning creative and designer with more than 25 years’ experience. A versatile talent, strategic thinker and thoughtful conceptualiser, Berenice also understands that design is an essential driver in business with the key target to drive and produce desired business results.
Berenice is passionate about design. She offers senior-level experience working with clients in a wealth of industries ranging from publishing to supply chain management, events, education, charities, universities and mental health. She holds degrees at Masters level in Graphic Design and Typography, English Literature and with training at Transmedia, SfEP, The Publishing Training Centre, UX Academy and Interaction Design Foundation. She has worked on branding and communication design for United Parcels Service, book and communication material for Penguin and Pearson, Cambridgeshire PCT, the BBC, South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge City councils, United Business Media, Time Inc (formerly IPC) and Archant.
Berenice delivers talks on design and adversity, great graphic design for business and drop-in workshops. She also believes in mentoring the next generation and has supported Anglia Ruskin students from the Masters in Publishing degree.
Berenice has extensive experience managing freelance designers and publishing teams in the fast paced world of weekly magazines, event management and corporate communications. Her vast background offers clients the many skills and disciplines usually found only at larger, full-service agencies, as well as the intimate service and attention not generally found at the big businesses.

Berenice loves reading, calligraphy and has a City and Guilds in glass work, and makes stained glass panels and fused glass. She is a member of the Cambridge Open Studios and lives in central Cambridge with her husband and their rescue dog Molly who wishes to note she's available for meetings, giving paw and testing cheese.
